My mom used to watch Art Linkletter's Houseparty every day on CBS. Our favorite part of the show was "Kids Say the Darndest Things."
One day Art was talking to the kids and he was asking them what they wanted to be when they grew up. One little boy said he wanted to be an airline pilot.
The result was one of the funniest moments on television.
Art: You want to be an airline pilot. That's wonderful. Tell me, what would you say if you were flying along one day and all four of your engines failed?
Little Boy: Our Father, Who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name . . . . |

| I sure miss that type of television. There's nothing like it on TV anymore. That's one of the reasons I enjoy Lawrence Welk so much and hope it goes on forever. |
